Services Provided
Day Treatment
The Day Treatment Program is a structured therapeutic day program for adults 18 and older. It is provided for the purpose of treatment, symptom remission and prevention of premature and/or inappropriate inpatient hospitalization. This service includes, but is not limited to, individual, family and group therapy, case management services, crisis intervention/stabilization and medication management in a group and individual setting. It differs from the traditional outpatient program in that it requires more structured care for longer periods of time. The day treatment program staff is made up of a multi-disciplinary team including, physicians, Doctoral and Master's Level therapists, nursing staff, mental health para professionals and activities therapists.
Initial and ongoing assessments by the treatment team will be provided to develop an individualized treatment plan. Rehabilitative Day Services (RDS) will also be provided to assist in the improvement of the individual's level of functioning.
Treatment, in a day treatment setting, is provided, but not limited to, the following issues related to mental illness:
- Depression (including major depression and dysthymia).
- Anxiety Disorders (including generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and phobias).
- Significant loss/grief
- Reactions to traumatic events
- Stress management/anger control
- Relationship problems
- Physical or sexual abuse issues
- Chronic mental illness
- Attention deficit/hyperactivity
- Bipolar Disorders
- Schizophrenia
- Schizoaffective Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Relapse prevention
- Crisis intervention/stabilization
